Sebas Ramos Returns to Big Bells Records with New EP "Omnia" and Shares Insights on the Progressive House Scene in Ecuador

Updated: Aug 28

Sebas Ramos returns to Big Bells Records with his latest EP, "Omnia," following his successful January release, "Petroscolia." This new EP, set to drop in July, showcases Ramos' growth as a producer and solidifies his standing in the progressive house scene. The release includes one original track, "Omnia," and one remix by Emcroy, offering listeners a fresh and dynamic listening experience.

(1) Hello Sebas. Congratulations on your upcoming EP "Omnia"! This is your second release on Big Bells Records and it is time to introduce you to our readers and supporters. Can you tell something more about yourself?

I consider myself more of an artist rather than a DJ. Of course, it's amazing watching the crowd sync with your music and enjoy it, no matter the genre you're playing, but the secret ingredient behind my live show is my music. I make my DJ sets with the music I create; it has been what makes my shows different from the others and my motto from day one.

(2) As a music producer and DJ from Ecuador, can you tell our readers how the Progressive House music scene looks like in your country now?

Ecuador it's a scene that is growing day by day into a solid progressive house community. Thanks to the work of progressive house artists like Molac, Juan Pablo Moran, Bernardo Ortiz, Elebated Records which is the best record label in Ecuador being the 19th best hype organic house label in Beatstats, and big venues such as Bassick which has brought many of the big names such as Sasha, Guy J and many others. All of this contributes to a big legacy in the country.

(3) You've now had two releases on Big Bells Records within the same year. What has your experience been like working with Big Bells Records, and what can fans expect from you in the near future?

It has been amazing. Big Bells Records, it's a record label that has many departments, big names in its catalog, a decent support feedback from DJS and it's growing very fast. I have no doubt that with the right resources, it will become a big label.

(4) As you continue to evolve as an artist, what are your future plans? Are there any upcoming projects, events or goals that you're particularly excited about?

Well, I honestly have a lot of hope to develop a more mature sound within the progressive house, melodic techno and organic house spectrum, work with bigger record labels and experiment more with my music while being successful in a commercial way with the tops on Beatport, I also intend to make more vocal tracks.
